LA BOLA |🥇1st Place

Finca La Bola is a family-run farm proudly managed by the Bermeo Córdova family in honor of Fredy Bermeo Guevara. This productive unit spans 5 hectares, of which 2 hectares are dedicated to Geisha coffee, cultivated under an organic production system.

The Geisha plants are 3.5 years old and nurtured with organic practices, including fertilization with decomposed coffee pulp, guano from the island, potassium sulfate of organic origin, phosphate rock, and certified micronutrients. Fertilization is applied three times per year. The farm also includes the Shimir plot, home to Bourbon and Caturra varieties.

Finca La Bola produces approximately 14 quintals per hectare and practices shade-grown coffee management with a diverse canopy of guava and native forest trees such as pine, laurel, and eucalyptus. Weeding is done manually using machetes, reflecting the family’s continued commitment to traditional, sustainable farming methods.
