What is your job and where do you live and work?
I live in Chitila and work as a barista at Steam coffee shop in Bucharest, Romania.
What does coffee mean to you and what do you love about it?
It is both a way of bringing people together and meeting new individuals every day. I find this passion to be a way of challenging myself and also a way to express myself.
What is your experience with Comandante grinders and what do you like about them?
It's love at first sight. The design, precision and handling make me love them.
Why did you apply for the Comandante Grind & Brew Cup?
I applied because I wanted to gain experience and break my limits. I also wanted to put my brew skills to the test in front of me and everyone else that was both watching at the time and waiting for an update back at the shop I work at.
How was the competition for you?
Brilliant! It is always nice to see passionate people about coffee and for me, it was not only a coffee experience but a life lesson.
What are your future goals?
I want to learn more and more about coffee, keep experiencing new interactions with people and I want to participate in the world cup.
What is your advice for future competitors?
Just enjoy the moment and be yourself. Express through your emotions, I was also really nervous during the competition and this only helped me enjoy it all better.
