What is your job and where do you live and work?
I am a head barista and in charge of quality at Terres de Café. I live and work in Paris. I really try to learn more about each job among the coffee industry to be a complete barista.
What does coffee mean to you?
My life, my passion, my job. But it is also about sharing, excellence, challenge, surpassing oneself and an exceptional product that everybody can drink.
What do you love about Comandante grinders, and how did you hear about them?
Two years ago, I was looking for a real grinder to go on holiday with. I took a look at reviews and saw that the C40 was winning all of them. So I fell for it! :D
What I do love:
the particle distribution, the engineering and the exemplary finish. It is a grinder made and conceived for the coffee enthusiasts who are looking for precision.
Why did you apply for the Comandante Grind & Brew Cup?
I love contests and I wanted to have fun.
What do you love about making coffee?
Trying to make the perfect cup, closest possible to the terroir, transparent and respectful. And of course making this cup for my customers while sharing this passion that drives us. Trying every day to bring an exceptional experience to my customers.
What are your future goals?
God shot in every cup. :D
How was the Comandante Grind & Brew Cup for you?
I did two recipes in each round so I got to choose the best. For the recipes, I picked ideas from peoples I met during my travels. In each round, I tried a recipe from a barista friend plus one personal. It was a great experience, I was going there for fun but once in it : you focus and you put everything you have into it. Organization was perfect!
What is your advice for future competitors?
2 recipes in each round, you have to be sweating otherwise you are not doing enough. :D
