What is your job and where do you live and work?

I’m a Head Barista at Cophi Solutions in Warsaw.

What does coffee mean to you?

Coffee is my passion, addiction and daily drive. I really cannot imagine starting a day without a cup of coffee. It helps me focus, straighten my thoughts and move forward.

What do you love about Comandante grinders, and how did you hear about them?

I really admire the craftsmanship, precision and consistency of grind. It’s an amazing and beautiful example of smart and thoughtful engineering. I first heard about it about 2 years ago in some local cafe - even still in Łódź - but I really got hooked when I used it for the first time at my current workplace. From the moment I first had it in my hands, I only use Comandante for manual brewing.

Why did you apply for the Comandante Grind & Brew Cup?

I wanted to prove to myself that my skills are good enough to compete and test myself.

What do you love about making coffee?

I love how it makes my guests happy and literally takes away their problems for a few minutes. They are together with me in the coffee zone.

What are your future goals?

I’d love to continue competing, master my brewing skills and become an AST and cafe owner someday.

How was the Comandante Grind & Brew Cup for you?

It was a very positive and fun experience. I didn’t expect to enjoy it so much, not even to mention winning!

What is your advice for future competitors?

Trust yourself and the grinder. All the rest might fail you but these two will be always on your side ;).
