Alto Mirador |🥇1st Place
El Mirador is located in the hamlet of La Victoria, in the district and province of Jaén, within the Cajamarca region of Peru. Nestled at 1,990 meters above sea level, this plot has a long family history. Originally owned by close relatives who used it for coffee cultivation, baking bread, and raising cattle, the land was acquired by the current owner’s parents in 2000.
The farm originally featured traditional coffee varieties such as Caturra and Typica. Over time, it was expanded to include Catimor and more Caturra plants. In 2020, recognizing its exceptional cup quality and physical characteristics, the family introduced the Geisha variety. The first harvest came in 2021, and with it, a new chapter in their pursuit of specialty coffee excellence.
El Mirador entered the Cup of Excellence for the first time in 2022. In 2023, they proudly returned for their second consecutive year, driven by the desire to represent Cajamarca and Peru on both the national and international stage.
