M&F Coffee | 🥇Experimental
M&F Coffee began in 2001 through the shared vision of two friends, Flávio and Marcelo. Both sons of farmers, they were raised with a deep respect for the land. Flávio brought years of experience from his family's agricultural business, while Marcelo had recently graduated as an agricultural technician. Their friendship quickly became a partnership rooted in reciprocity, passion, and a shared mission to cultivate excellence.
In 2010, they established Bioma Café in Campos Altos, Minas Gerais, carefully selecting plots of land with the goal of producing exceptional coffees from the outset. Today, Bioma Café is known for some of the most remarkable lots from the High Cerrado Mineiro region.
Harvesting is performed mechanically, with cherries sorted by ripeness and fermented in stainless steel tanks for 72 hours. Afterward, the coffee is dried in a greenhouse for 15 days, rested for 5 days in bags, and then processed. Pre-harvest mapping is conducted to analyze maturation and Brix levels, and harvesting is limited to lots containing no more than 15% green cherries. Selectivity and precision guide every stage of post-harvest processing, where women play an active role in production.
Bioma Café has been recognized for its commitment to sustainable agriculture. The farm held UTZ certification until 2021 and currently maintains several certifications, including:
- Rainforest Alliance (RA_00083182202, valid until May 17, 2027)
- Orfeu
- CAFE Practices
- Regenagri
With a foundation built on friendship, integrity, and love for the land, M&F Coffee continues its mission to produce extraordinary specialty coffees.
