Don Cayito | 🥇Traditional Honey & Natural Processes

Don Cayito is the farm of Luis Ricardo Calderón Madrigal, located at 1950 meters above sea level and spanning 6 hectares. Acquired nine years ago, it is planted with 15% Typica Mejorado, 15% Geisha, and the remainder in Red Catuai. The harvest typically takes place in February.

The farm follows a careful regimen of four fertilizations annually, guided by soil analyses to meet the specific needs of each plot. Each batch is processed at the on-site micro-mill with full traceability from reception to delivery to the exporter’s warehouse. Diverse plantings are maintained with attention to the unique requirements of each variety.

Don Cayito’s goal is to preserve the quality of every plot and contribute to the continued excellence of the coffee industry. Winning the Cup of Excellence is seen not as a single moment of success, but as the result of the collective dedication of pickers, family members, and mill staff—working together to deliver exceptional and consistent coffees year after year.
