El Cedro – San Isidro Labrador is a family-run farm located in the hills of Dota, Tarrazú at 1,950 meters above sea level. The project is led by Johel Monge Naranjo and Matias, who are part of the Hacienda San Isidro Labrador initiative. This year, they earned first place in the Cup of Excellence with a sundried honey-processed Geisha variety.
Hacienda San Isidro Labrador began eight years ago, and this marks their fourth year participating under their own micro mill. Previously, as part of Grupo Los Grandes de Copey, they achieved 1st place in COE 2017, 2nd in 2018, and 1st and 3rd in 2019. Their focus on traceability, quality, and specialty coffee has allowed them to build strong relationships with roasters and consumers who appreciate their dedication and hard work.
