La Salsa |🥇1st Place

La Salsa participated in the Cup of Excellence with the Geisha variety, processed using the washed method. The red coffee cherries were meticulously selected and harvested to enhance the variety’s flavor and the unique characteristics of the land. This was the producer’s fourth participation: 14th place in 2018, elimination in 2009, 5th place in 2021, and finally 1st place in this edition in 2022 and 2024.

The Cup of Excellence is a vital event for producers—it promotes their coffees and brings economic benefits. Thanks to IHCAFE for introducing the COE to Honduras and equipping producers with tools to access international markets. This journey has taken a lot of work and patience, and is considered a blessing from God. “This is one of the finest farms and one of the best coffees I’ve ever tried. What a blessing this is my farm!” the producer says. There is much excitement for what lies ahead for both the farm and the region.
