La Noria Coffee Farm—named after the Spanish word for “windmill”—is located in Loja, Ecuador, and was founded in 2017 by specialty coffee enthusiast Tim Leahy. Driven by a dream to grow world-class coffee, Tim partnered with Bernard Uhe of CVM, an Ecuadorian agricultural company rooted in a Colombian family tradition of coffee cultivation.
La Noria is managed by the CVM family, who bring generations of experience from Ibagué, Colombia, and work alongside local Ecuadorians who know the land intimately. Together, they cultivate award-winning high-elevation arabica coffee in the heart of the Ecuadorian Andes.
The farm’s exceptional quality is a result of several natural advantages: high altitude, fertile soil, mineral-rich mountain water, nutrient-giving shade trees, and 12 hours of sunlight year-round. La Noria also embraces sustainable practices, using neem and worm tea to nourish plants and enhance bean vitality—producing a delicious, vibrant, and healthful cup of coffee.
