Pino De Oro |🥇1st Place

Oscar Edgardo Tinoco is the proud owner of Finca Pino de Oro, located at 1,640 meters above sea level in the buffer zone of the Santa Bárbara Mountain Nature Reserve—one of Honduras' most ecologically diverse regions, where cloud forests, tropical jungles, and pine groves converge. The area is also home to the Lenca people, and many of their traditions and practices have been preserved and passed down through generations, including in Oscar’s own farming philosophy.

Oscar’s journey with coffee began as a teenager, working alongside his father and learning the craft. As an adult, he expanded the family farm and began participating in competitions. His first major recognition came in 2010 when he earned third place in the Cup of Excellence. That award allowed him to pay off debts and inspired a renewed commitment to quality.

A man of deep Christian faith, Oscar made a personal promise: if he ever won first place, he would donate part of his earnings to his church. In 2011, after winning first place, he honored that vow—committing 10% of his profits to social outreach through his congregation. In 2023, Oscar again claimed the top spot, a testament to his dedication, consistency, and spiritual integrity.

Finca Pino de Oro stands as a beacon of excellence, faith, and social responsibility in the specialty coffee world.
