What is your job and where do you live and work?

I work for a tech company and my role is customer success and account management, I live in London.

What does coffee mean to you and what do you love about it?

Coffee for me is a way to disconnect from day-to-day worries, it helps me relax. What I love the most about coffee is that each coffee is never the same (origin, process, varietal etc) and that makes me want to learn and taste more.

What is your experience with Comandante grinders and what do you like about them?

I have been using my Comandante as (95%) daily grinder for the past year or so and what I love the most is the consistency and the fact that there are so many recipes online based on Comandante clicks that makes it easier to then replicate a recipe.

Why did you apply for the Comandante Grind & Brew Cup?

I applied because I wanted to see how it will be to compete in coffee, I have never competed before. And have a good time.

How was the competition for you?

The competition was super fun, but at the same time quite stressful for me because I wanted to do well and it was my first time competing. Overall, it was an amazing experience, I met great people and had the opportunity to compete with well-known professionals.

What are your future goals?

I have already started looking and discussing with friends about the Brewers Cup to compete here in the UK and also will compete in London (UK) AeroPress Championship soon.

What is your advice for future competitors?

Regardless if you are a home brewer like me or a coffee professional, just enjoy the competition and brew some coffee like you do at home or at the cafe. It’s all about having fun and creating a nice community.
