What is your job and where do you live and work?

I've been working as a barista for more than 5 years. And finally, 2 years ago I started my own shop so, now I run my own business. It is called 'Sangroksu Bakery Park’ and it is located in Haeundae, Busan.

What does coffee mean to you and what do you love about it?

Well, now without COFFEE, my life doesn't exist. I started to work as a barista because I loved the smell of coffee but now it has become much more than just a job. It became my whole passion, my dream. I met so many good people through coffee that's why I love it.

What is your experience with Comandante grinders and what do you like about them?

After I started to work as a barista, I needed to make myself coffee on my days off. I found Comandante the most high-end hand grinder so I bought one and I love it. I bought one more and gave my dad he loved it. He later bought 10 Comandante mills and gave all to his friends who are also coffee lovers. I love Comandante because it is so easy to use, clean and has a beautiful design.

Why did you apply for the Comandante Grind and Brew Cup?

Well, I've been brewing coffee for more than 5 years and I'm very proud of my brewing skills & recipes. So I wanted to check my level in a competition and challenge myself.

How was the competition for you?

The competition was really fun! To be honest I was nervous during the first round, but after that, I started to enjoy it. It was such a big pleasure and honour to be part of the competition. Thank you so much Comandante and Momos team for making this happen.

What are your future goals?

I want to open up 2 more Sangroksu branches in Busan. Then hopefully in Japan, New York and Melbourne which is my second hometown!

What is your advice for future competitors?

Always remember, your rivals are nervous and feel under pressure too. So try to focus on your brewing, your recipe, your stuff and if you can show 100% of what you prepared. it’s gonna be successful! AND JUST ENJOY!!!!!!
